Connecting a Mortgage or Loan

GetGild reads balances from the accounts you connect and adds them up. It doesn’t move money or place trades — it just watches the numbers.

1. From the dashboard, select Accounts and then Add account.
2. Select the type of account Mortgages & Loans and connection option, Open Banking or Manual. Mortgage connections via Open Banking are very limited, as few banks support them.

Connecting via Open Banking

1. Search for your bank or provider name and add the account.
2. Log in through the secure connection screen. GetGild never sees or stores your bank password — that login happens on your bank’s own page.
3. Pick which accounts under that provider you want included (you can leave some out).

Balances usually sync within a few seconds. There’s a refresh button next to the account name if you want to refresh it manually.

Adding manually

1. Enter your provider’s name.
2. Add an account nickname to help you remember it, e.g. BridgeLane Mortgage, Student Loan, Car Loan.
3. Add the current balance and monthly payment, then save the account.

If your provider isn’t listed

Contact support to request a provider. We add new ones regularly and prioritise by how often they’re requested.
